Summer Program for Teens on the Autism Spectrum

TTE LogoTotal Teen Experience is a dynamic summer program run by Rockland Jewish Family Service, for adolescents (ages 14-20) diagnosed with social communication disorder, autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit disorder. For 6 weeks this summer, your teen will learn skills that will last them a lifetime! The program is open to people of all faiths.

Each day will be full of enriching activities including exercise and nutrition, work experience through internship, group process and a video editing project which will focus on social skills relating to communication. Internships in past years have been held at leading nearby organizations including Meals on Wheels, the Jewish Federation of Rockland County and Israel Bonds, among others.

Total Teen Experience will run Monday through Thursday, July 7 through August 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. (Extended hours are available from 3:00 5:00 PM, and there is no program on Fridays.) Participants may bring their own lunch or buy lunch from the café in the building.

Total Teen Experience will have experts on staff in each skill area to make this well-rounded program a successful and enjoyable experience. For more information or to receive a full program brochure please contact Michele Koenig at 845.354.2121, ext. 141 or email mkoenig@rjfs.org.
